Richard Philippe, who has held numerous key positions at Africa’s leading e-commerce platform, Jumia, currently serves as the Vice President of Commerce at Jumia Group. With over a decade of experience in e-commerce and market development, he has guided and scaled e-commerce platforms within the African market.

Starting his career at Jumia Group as a Key Account Manager, Philippe has held positions such as President of Supplier Management and Group Category Director. He has also served as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Jumia Ivory Coast and Jumia Morocco. Since joining Jumia, Richard Philippe has significantly increased the company’s market presence and consumer base by developing strategic business plans with leading FMCG and beauty brands.

Educated in Business at EDHEC Business School, Richard is trilingual in French, English, and Spanish. His intercultural expertise has enabled him to effectively manage and expand business operations in Africa.
