Vahap Munyar, one of Türkiye’s leading names in economic journalism, graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, School of Journalism and Public Relations, Radio-TV Department. He started his career at Anadolu Agency and worked as an economics manager at Dünya and Sabah newspapers. Since 2005, he has worked as an economics writer and manager at Hürriyet Newspaper, and between 2018 and 2019, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of Hürriyet Newspaper.

Munyar is a journalist with in-depth knowledge of the Turkish economy, the business world, corporate strategies, economic policies and market trends. Munyar is also an economics commentator on various television programmes and closely follows developments in the business world. He is currently the chairman of the Association of Journalists of Türkiye.
